Goal for 2018 : Preparation.
Prepare as much as I can to launch the new department in 2019. Considering ;
- How to deliver & how much does it cost?
Man power : For sales man, basic salary is very low (around ¥3,000/month), but there is incentive salary by their working result (amount of contract profit they made).
- What if client doesn’t pay well, how to solve it?
- What if client is broken down, how to deal with it?
- Documents (Contract, Bank, Shipment, Custom)
- Deep understanding of sales department’s working process
From second to third questions can be answered once the result of this section is good enough although I am considering that it will be also fine if I only work until get the contract done, and passing the rest to current sales department.
Think little bit more about this.
- How many ways of making deal?
According to several specialists, currently having their career as sales man in International Sales Department, there are 3 major way to get a new contract.
1. Attending Exhibition.
2.Online Approach.
3.Alibaba.
Out of these 3 methods, the first one has the highest (almost the only) chance to get a new contract. The second method is just one of ways to do it but not recommended by specialists, and having website in Alibaba is more like a credential certificate for the clients, and possible clients will find us and contact or visit us privately using the website they said.
Thus, to make Alibaba website and focusing on attending exhibition is the key to get a contract.
- Office location, how many employees & salary
Personally, the office location is better in the factory, or separated at Shanghai. When it is in the factory, communication among other department is easier so that co-operated work (in most case of work, I suppose) will get some benefit. However, having separated office at Shanghai is also not a bad idea since the major contract-expected source is from conference and Shanghai’s traffic benefit will make the work a lot easier than having office in other cities.
